Importing Files

How to import Excel, CSV, JSON, XML files, and more to Clarify

Importing files can be useful in scenarios where you have software that supports automated or manual exporting. You can set up automatic importing jobs to send the data to Clarify.

XLS, XLSX, ODS

Importing spreadsheets to Clarify using Node-RED
You can use nodes such as node-red-contrib-spreadsheet-in to import spreadsheet data from Excel and ODS.

  1. Add an Inject node
  2. Add a File In node and configure its file path
  3. Add book, sheet & sheet to JSON nodes
  4. Add a Function node and write a function that formats data for Clarify
  5. Add a Clarify input node to send data to Clarify

XML

Importing XML files to Clarify using Node-RED

  1. Add an Inject node
  2. Add a File In node and configure its file path
  3. Add an XML node and adapt it to your file format

HTML

Importing HTML files to Clarify using Node-RED

  1. Add an Inject node
  2. Add a File In node and configure its file path
  3. Add an HTML node and adapt it to your file format
  4. Add a Function node and write a function that formats data for Clarify
  5. Add a Clarify input node to send data to Clarify

The Node-RED HTML node accepts selectors. This means that if you want to import all h1 elements in the HTML file you specify h1 as the selector in the node properties.
